Finishings and Fastenings

Unique, handcrafted garments designed and finished especially for you. A coat as you see it on the website or at a craft fair is a work in progress. It will be finished to the highest specifications, in line with your requirements.

As a former mathematics teacher, the topology of crochet caught Kay’s imagination. Despite the fact that a crocheted garment may be worked from the lower edge up, from the neck down, or from the wrists across, the borders, collars, cuffs and edgings are always worked last, which means that a perfect fit and finish should always be possible. You can also have your say as to the choice of fastenings, which as well as buttons made from all materials, have included zips, froggings, Norwegian and metal fastenings, or more recently kilt pins, broaches and corsages.
